When anyone asks “what was the best nightclub in Hull?” the answer is usually ROOM.

So we’re going back there!

Opened on George Street in 1991 by Hull nightlife legend Dave Mays, it was one of the first nightclubs in the country granted a late license and attracted clubbers from all over the north of England, partying into the early hours to the sounds of house, garage, acid jazz and more. It sadly closed its doors in the early 2000s and left a huge hole in the city’s nightlife.

There have been so many legendary events and promotions at the venue that we’d struggle to fit them all into one night and do the history of the club justice, so we are starting this series of events by going back to the very start with DJs from nights such as Select, Origin, Recoil, Scuba & Quench.
