Social is a unique ex-warehouse 300-capacity venue space, hosting the best in Live Music, Stand-up Comedy, DJs, Clubbing, Film, Theatre, Festivals, Markets, and much more.
Bands and artists who have played Social include: The Blinders, Nubiyan Twist, Fatherson, Shed Seven, The Skints, Mungo's Hi-Fi, The Lathums, We Are Scientists, Huey Morgan, Jamie Webster, The K's, Don Letts, Beans on Toast, James Taylor Quartet, The Mysterines, Emma-Jean Thackray, Arun Ghosh, Mystery Jets, Warmduscher, Alabama 3, Life, Beardyman, Afflecks Palace.
Opened in 2010 as Fruit, and reborn in 2020 as Social - the destination venue in the city for those wanting their cultural fix. We're located on Humber Street, as part of Hull's thriving and independent Fruit Market area.
Run by the award-winning Sesh Events Team (The Sesh, Humber Street Sesh, Trinity Live, Made in Hull Cruise), as well as former team members from the days of Fruit, who collectively have over three decades of experience in live events and venue management.

Social boasts a large main event space (300 capacity standing) including stage, PA, lighting, 180" screen, HD projector, and free Wi-Fi.
The venue is serviced by two bars, offering a wide range of favourite and specialist draught and bottled/canned alcoholic beverages, alongside non-alcoholic drinks, teas, coffee, and bar snacks.
We have outdoor seating in front of the venue on Humber Street.
The venue does not have a secure/paid cloakroom, though does offer a rail and coat hangers that visitors can use
We are a dog-friendly venue.

Social sells advance tickets for our in-house events via seetickets.com, with other event ticketing agents varying, on a show-by-show basis. All advance tickets will be subject to a per-ticket booking fee, and may incur additional charges from the ticket agent's website.
ENTRY TO AN EVENT
When entering the venue for an event, please have your tickets to hand, either physical tickets, or e-tickets displayed on your mobile phone/printed out. Please note, confirmation of booking emails are not valid for entry to an event - your ticket is required.
AGE OF ENTRY AT THE VENUE
When open as a bar, children are allowed in the venue until 7pm, accompanied by an adult. The age of entry for events varies, please see age information found on the individual events on our 'what's on' page. Most shows are 14+ (with under 16s requiring an adult to accompany them), though some shows are 18+
TICKET SALES AT THE VENUE
We do not sell advance tickets at the venue. Booking online in advance is the cheapest way to book for an event and guarantees you entry.
ON THE DOOR TICKETS
If an event is not sold out in advance, tickets should be for sale on the door at Social on the day of the event from the doors opening time. Please check our social media for the latest on ticket availability and/or contact us before your travel to the venue. On the door pricing will be more expensive than in advance, so we advise booking online beforehand where possible.
